Hi Criteo team,

I have a question regarding the format of the file for submission.

I see in the export function you have set the format to 1.6f, however I am losing a bit of information when I submit my transformed test data. If I use 1.6g instead, I have a file to submit that is the same size as a file with 1.6f format, but with more significant digits.

Is it ok to change the format like this, or will it cause a problem?

Thanks

Hi,
Sure you can upload your results using 1.6g format. I've run tests using '1.6g' format or '1.8f' format, and it should not cause any problems.
Keep us in touch.

Have a good day,
Ugo for the Criteo Team.

Hi,

Thanks for running tests. I changed the format to 1.6g and got my best score of the day!

FYI: these are scores from the same data transformation. First formatted as 1.6f and second as 1.6g

prediction_score:: 0.3701435226074552 privacy_score: -0.5975944444874796 entropy_score: 0.8209365473195281
sum:: -0.22745092188002436

sum:: -0.2291236522790585

Hopefully a few others can benefit from this too :)
