In the description of the competition, there are no restrictions on external data and pre-trained models. Is it allowed to use external data?
I am worried that if external data is allowed, unsupervised setting will become meaningless.

Yes you are right! So you are not allowed to use external data or a pre-trained model to keep the unsupervised setting proper. All the paper submissions will be checked in this manner.
