As I understand, the radar is composed of axes of range and angle. The angle contains the horizontal information where objects lie. I wonder can we infer an object's latitude information from the radar data, and is there a difference for two objects at the same distance and angle with an identical velocity, but with different latitude.
I search the Internet and read the essay but cannot find the exact answer. Thanks in advance.Posted by: zangwei @ Feb. 1, 2021, 3:41 a.m.
The answer is no. Our radar sensor used in the ROD2021 dataset is a horizontal antenna array. Thus, there is no vertical angle resolution.Posted by: ywang26 @ Feb. 1, 2021, 5:56 a.m.
