Hello,
I would like to get clarification on the Student Metadata, variable PremiumPupil. The competition guide described this variable as "whether the student is eligible for free school means or pupil premium due to being financially disadvantaged". For value 1 does it mean the students coded as 0 are eligible for free school meals and students coded as 1 are pupil premium due to financially disadvantaged? Both codes sounded like the two groups of students are both labeled as economically disadvantaged, and I'm uncertain how they fall in each category. Thank you!
Hi,
Sorry that this was unclear - a value of 1 indicates that a student is eligible for the pupil premium and/or free school meals, and a value of 0 indicates that they are not. A null value indicates that no data is available for whether or not the student is eligible. Hope this helps!
