After submitting the predictions, it shows the evaluation script is running. I am wondering if the codalab will show any error messages if the evaluation failed.

Dear dongfangxu9,

This is a limitation of Codalab, some jobs are submitted and remain in the state "submitted". If you don't see your file going to the "running" state after 10 min or so you can assume the file is not going to be processed and can resubmit it. If you reach the limit of 3 submissions, please let me know. I will delete the "submitted" ones to let you resubmit.

Thanks for the tip, I waited for 10 minutes and codalab finally started processing my submission.
