I tried decoding the RAW images and got 8-bit values. I expected the RAW to be 10-bit or 16-bit. Did I make a mistake or are the RAW images actually 8-bit?
Posted by: dariok @ July 26, 2019, 12:01 p.m.The original RAW photos produced by P20 were technically 10-bit images, though the actual range was slightly smaller than 10-bit. They were converted to 8-bit and then saved as PNG files for convenience.
