I downloaded the example zip file, and then I submitted it. However, the following problem showed up:
docker: Cannot connect to the Docker daemon at unix:///var/run/docker.sock. Is the docker daemon running?.
See 'docker run --help'.
Any suggestions?

Apologies for the problems, I looked into this recurring problem a bit more and I'm unsure if it's something on Codalab's end or Docker. This problem only appears after a few days so it's hard to pin down what could have caused it... perhaps a certain kind of threaded submission exceeding the time limit can cause problems? In my research there are quite a few people reporting problems like this (cannot stop/kill container) for 3+ years. Hopefully next version bump fixes this, if it's a problem on Docker's end.
Please email me eric@ckcollab.com as soon as this problem starts happening again and hopefully I can pin down what is causing it!
In the mean time, servers are restarted and seem to be working OK right now :)
