> Some information about WebVision challenge

Dear Participants,

Thank you for your submission to the WebVision challenge. We would like to remind you that the test phase is approaching. Please validate your algorithmic development as soon as possible if you have not finished yet.

We have several explanations about this challenge as follows,

1. About Development Phase

The development phase starts from March 15th, and will end on June 23rd. The maximum number of submissions for each participant is 10. For each submission, the evaluation is performed on half of the test data, and the result will be shown to participant immediately. The participant could choose to show this result on the leaderboard or hide from the leaderboard. As the time of test phase is approaching, more and more results are being submitted to the evaluation, although only a few are displayed on the leaderboard. We encourage each participant to submit their results to evaluation sever before the deadline of development phase as you could get feedback to tune your algorithms.

2. About Test Phase

The test phase will start from June 23rd and end on June 30th. Each team can only submit results one time during the test phase. Each submission should contain a readme file (include: Team Name, Team Members, Team Affiliation, Method Description, Entry Description) and maximum of 5 entries (final ranking is based on the best result of those 5 entries). Note that each participant can only belongs to one team in principle. An example of the submission zip file will be given in the test phase webpage. Final evaluation results of all teams will be made public on our workshop website on July 10th.

3. About Awards
We have received 10,000 USD award sponsorship for this challenge. The cash prizes will be given to both the WebVision image classification track, and the PASCAL VOC image classification track. All participants are strongly suggested to submit your results to the PASCAL VOC track, too. The same rules and time schedule are applied to the PASCAL VOC track.
