Thanks for pointing out the ambiguity!

No, the challenge is not only for the students.
The challenge is open for everybody except the organizers.
In order to remove any ambiguity we've removed
"you are a student, or employed by a research laboratory, startup or other legal entity having a scientific department or activity"
from the rules of the NTIRE challenge.
