> sign of angles

I would like to clarify the sign of angles.
Pitch: up is >0
down is <0
Yaw: left is >0
right is <0
is it correct?

Yes, it is correct.

Then I have another question.

Why, almost, all subjects that watch up have negative pitch angle? and the same situation with subjects that watch down, they have positive pitch angle.

could you explain this? I am using updated file with angles

for example there is a small list of subjects that watch up and have negative pitch angle:
Sample_01_159
Sample_01_229
Sample_01_285
Sample_01_354
and so on

By subject do you mean a whole set or just a few frames per person?

frames per person

but in all cases, what I randomly checked, they all are opposite

Hi!

I finally understood your question. So basically you mean that looking down is positive for picth and looking up is negative?

Posted by: icv @ Feb. 23, 2017, 9:26 a.m.

Yes. that why I wanted to clarify it

Hi!
Looking down is positive indeed. I am sorry for answering incorrectly yesterday. Is it also written anywhere on the page?

Posted by: icv @ Feb. 23, 2017, 9:53 a.m.

no it is not written anywhere. at least I could not find.
but I found paper "SASE: RGB-Depth Database for Human Head Pose Estimation" I Lüsi, S Escarela, G Anbarjafari - Computer Vision–ECCV 2016 Workshops, 2016
and there is written opposite to your provided information
